Description
p322
The new P322 was completely designed and built by SIG SAUER in New Hampshire and is loaded with premium features, including an optic-ready removable rear sight plate so you can easily add a ROMEOZero red dot optic without the use of adapter plates. The P322 also comes with a threaded barrel adapter making it suppressor ready right out of the box, and with its ambidextrous controls, interchangeable flat and curved triggers, and fiber optic front and rear sights the new P322 is the highest capacity, most advanced 22 pistol in its class.
First off, this single-action-only internal hammer-fired pistol is not a new and improved Mosquito. The P322 is American-made with much thought behind it — approximately two years of development. According to SIG, this pistol will fire anything, including golden bullet bulk ammo. Rigorous factory testing included 11 different types of ammunition and an admittedly unhealthy number of dry-fires. The P322 exceeded SIG’s 5,000-round dry-fire test with no issues. The mean stoppage rate for live fire, suppressed and unsuppressed, was over 1,000 rounds.
At a launch event at SIG SAUER Academy’s Volusia County Gun Club Outpost in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, I put it through a battery of tests. Pro shooters Max Michel, Phil Strider and Jack Barnes, joined us in running the gun on a Steel Challenge course. Their performances revealed first-hand the P322 isn’t a gun to scoff at.

After decades of carrying a wide assortment of pistols and revolvers both the Mrs. and I (in our, um, senior years) have finally settled on Sig P322, she an HD in her purse and me an alloy frame in a pocket holster. They are accurate, reliable, compact, comparatively lightweight, mild kicking and just plain fun to shoot. We both prefer Sig’s 7-round extended mags for the improved grip. Engaging the safety is a bit awkward, but since you’re not going to be doing that until after the smoke clears it’s a small matter. Our only complaint is, YES, they are expensive! But then, like everything else, you get what you pay for. Highly recommended. A+

Got the pistol on Monday, took it home and cleaned it. Back to the range on Tuesday. Set up a reactive target at 10 yards. Had some feeding problems but determined that was my fault when I loaded the magazine. No problems later. Most of the rounds out of the second magazine hit the target with 3 actual center strikes. I’m an average shooter and am very well pleased with this gun. The 322 is almost the size of a compact 320 Sig which will make it an inexpensive pistol to practice with. Thank you guns and gadgets.

Awesome. Accurate out of the box. Shot 50 rounds with no problems, my wife loved it too, so now she wants one. A little on the expensive side for a 22, but worth it. I will be getting one for my wife at the end of the month when my check comes. Thank you Guns and Gadgets.
